Bourne Bumpers Ladies Morris
|
|
We are one of the original members of the Morris federation, based in bournemouth and formed over 27 years ago. We have appeared on television, abroad, at festivals, fetes and pubs, for charity and fun. Our name derives from the morris dance: "The Bumpus Of Stretton". We dance several traditions including our speciality, the Dorset Stave Dances. We are now concentrating on local South Of England dances and a dance from the manuscripts of Thomas Hardy. We always welcome new members at the start of our practise season in September.
